Before coming to full time ministry I have been in the banking sector whereby I have learnt a lot about how God place people and circumstances so that you can make the right decision at the right time in order to respond to his call. I am a Dad of three boys, aged 9 years, 5 years and 2 years. Married to Bronwyn who is a great support to the ministry.
I have been serving in full time ministry for more than 10 years, before going for theological ministerial training, I worked full time with the youth ministry. Since my ordination to the Diaconate and to the Priesthood I have been able to discover how God can use one to enable other to reach their full potential in their spiritual growth and hence become faithful servant of the Lord.
My primary focus in ministry is enable people to discover their talents or skills and their call. Once that is done I see myself as someone who will alongside these people so that they can reach their full potential, that is the story of the disciples of Emmaus is very dear to me as it portrays this model of ministry when Jesus walked alongside the disciples and enabled them to discover their full potential.
I have been serving a couple of parishes since ordination and essentially the children and youth ministry. I focus on children and youth because I think we need to make enough room for them so that they can discover that walking with Christ is not outdated, boring and out of reach. I will encourage every baptised to think about their purpose on earth and find out how they can reach their full potential.
One of the ways to do that is to be able to discussed with someone whom you think might be spiritually mature, secondly one who is an enabler and thirdly one who will love you for who you are.
