Rev James Seerungum, married to Sheela, we have two children: Yan married to Melissa and a daughter Jill. Born and grew up in the village of Reduit. My home parish is St John, up to now four generations have been worshipping there.
I served as a Police Officer for 26 years, before engaging in full time ministry. Ordained to diaconate in 1999 and priested in 2000. Served different parishes: St Andrews Quatre. Bornes, St Philip and St James Beau Champ, St Clement Curepipe, St Agnes Rose Belle, Christ Church Mahebourg and presently St John, Reduit. Have also served as Youth Coordinator and continue to serve as Prison Chaplain and Executive Director of Prison Fellowship of Mauritius.
My primary concern is to walk along people in the different wake of their life, particularly with the broken, the downtrodden. Loving and accepting people as they are, giving them a glimpse of God’s love. As a child of God I am longing to see love in capital letters rooted in people’s life, church people overwhelmed in the precious love of God.
