Married to NOROSOA VOAHANGINIRINA RAHOLINIAINA for 25 years
Father of five children: FANILO-TAMBY-TOKY-FIFALIANTSOA- ENDRIKINIAVO
I felt my calling after a deep human tragedy: tentative of suicide of one of my closed one, a member of body of Christ could find any sense of and any light for his life. I was deeply moved by what does it mean to be a christian in this wounded and unjust world and mainly when I met Christ at age of 18 and accepted Him as my real God and Lord refused to consider my ancestor as my protector (as my tribal belief).
I started my theological study both at St Paul Theological College Ambatoharanana and at the Roman Catholic University in Antananarivo. After my first three years of the theology and human science study and taught Philosophy and religious education in a secondary Anglican school.
My calling to be the shepherd and guide of the people of God was rekindled while I was accompanying young christian people at school. During my four years of theological study i was interested to understand the church and its mission ( if she has got one):
Jesus said: you are my witness…” (Ac.1,8) so at the heart of the Church’s self-understanding,” insofar as it is the mystery of koinonia of the Divine Trinity and the personal koinonia of each human being with the divine and just and loving Trinity and with the rest of mankind. This is initiated with the faith of Christ by the power of the holy Spirit through the witness of the justice and the love of God for every human being , and, having begun as a reality in the Church of Christ on earth as a community to witness this Divine koinonia, is directed toward its eschatological fulfillment in the heavenly Church.
It is crucial and divinely possible that Christ wants to meet – and then each member of the body of Christ is experiencing the justice and love of God in Christ according to his/her own context and being transformed by the Holy Spirit in order to become a spark of the light of Christ and the flavor of the salt of Divine Koinonia within and without the Church.
In short, there is the meeting process to Christ: a real person with its own context and challenge and then the transformational process which is the discipleship in a real situation (the wounded, divided, unjust world) where Christ is real, teaching, and acting and the witness process: this is the Church in the society, transforming and healing the Society (mainly the family as the real form of the koinonia of God) by the grace of God.
